Blake Parsley

Associate Pastor / Youth & Families

Blake earned his Master’s Degree in Bible Language from the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock. Blake is originally from Indianapolis, IN, where he surrendered to the preaching ministry in 2010. He is married to Melissa and they have three boys: Gunnar, Grayson, and Oscar. When first hired here at Second, Blake was a missionary to Iquitos, Peru, where he and his family served in multiple capacities such as starting and teaching a seminary in a local village on the Amazon River, leading VBS events at multiple other villages, and assisting the efforts of numerous temporary medical clinics. But due to the global effects of Covid-19, Blake and his family had to return to Arkansas for their safety and well-being. However, the mission work there in Iquitos still continues. As of 2025, Blake has shifted into the role of Youth and Families Pastor. In this position, Blake is responsible for teaching the teen group on Wednesday nights and for Sunday School, planning and scheduling youth trips, and connecting families with young children to the church.
